            Description of Amhara Women\u2019s Association<\/strong><\/p>

            The Amhara Women\u2019s Association (AWA) was founded as a non-profit, non-partisan, nongovernmental, and volunteer based civic organization in May 1998 by using the right of organizing. AWA\u2019s constituent members are women at different social strata of the region and Amhara women out of the region, in other parts of the country.<\/span><\/p>

            VISION<\/strong><\/p>

            To see a society that respects the universal rights of women and girls. is created by the year 2023.<\/span><\/p>

            MISSION<\/strong><\/p>

            By creating a strong association in which all women of the region are members we work towards resolving women\u2019s social, economic, political and good governance problems whereby women rights are respected and become free from sexual harassment via educating and organizing the society as well as strengthening coordinated approaches to work.<\/span><\/p>
